BEST Bus Collision in Dadar West Leaves One Dead, Several Injured as Investigation Underway
A BEST bus operating on route 463/31 lost control near Veer Kotwal Garden in Dadar West, Mumbai, causing a multi-vehicle collision that left one man dead and several others injured. Emergency services rushed victims to Sion Hospital as police launched an investigation into possible negligence or mechanical failure.
According to initial reports, the BEST bus operating on route number 463/31 lost control around 10:00 am and collided with a car and a two-wheeler before hitting several pedestrians in the busy Dadar market area. The sudden impact caused widespread chaos among motorists and bystanders in one of Mumbai’s most congested commercial zones.
Emergency services responded immediately after the incident. Injured individuals were transported to Sion Hospital for urgent medical treatment. One unidentified man, aged between 22 and 25 years, was declared dead on arrival. Three others sustained serious injuries, including significant trauma. Among the injured were a BEST bus conductor and a transit inspector.
CCTV footage, as reported, captured the bus entering the junction before colliding with vehicles, triggering panic and disruption in the surrounding area. The footage has become a key part of the ongoing investigation.
Reports also confirmed that four pedestrians were injured in the collision and were rushed to Sion Hospital for treatment. Authorities have since initiated efforts to clear damaged vehicles and debris from the accident site to restore normal traffic flow in the area.

The crash has once again raised serious concerns regarding road safety and the operation of public transport buses on Mumbai’s heavily congested roads.
